EXCEPTIONAL YEAR. GOOD COMPLEXITY. PROMISING VINTAGE TO LAY DOWN.

Very great vintage for the red wines, great ageing potential

Temperatures warmer than normal in January, which became cooler in February and rose again considerably in March and April. Then came a rather hot summer with heat waves.
This was quite a dry year overall, with a few thunderstorms at the end of August, but good levels of sunshine in spring and summer.

The 2015 vintage was a hot, very sunny year with little rain.

It yielded good quality grapes to the detriment of quantity.

Bud break: from 8 April
Flowering: end of May
Veraison: mid-July

White wines: expressive, lovely fruity notes, aromatic purity, balance between freshness and richness in the mouth
Red wines: intense, vibrant robes, a lot of energy, complexity. Silky, rounded tannins, absolute ripeness.

The rest of the summer was hot and dry with sunshine in July in contrast to the previous months. A violent thunderstorm at the end of August caused some damage but nothing major.
Clement temperatures returned in September.

Mâconnais

Profound wines with great ageing potential

The winter was normal for the region. Temperatures were mild and spring was just as mild and dry.
The start of the summer, like the rest of the season, was warm and dry, which led to a lack of water for the vines.
Start of the grape harvest at the end of August
