This Estate was once the property of a wine enthusiast who originally hailed from Brittany and had moved to Chablis in the 1970s after falling in love with this beautiful wine-growing region.
For nearly 30 years, he devoted all of his time to the estate, taking great pleasure in developing it.
However, due to old age, he was forced to let go of his Estate, which he had decided to call "Domaine Carrion" as a tribute to his grandmother, a native of the Bourgogne region.
The Chablisien vineyard experienced a relatively warm winter and spring, with insufficient rainfall. January and February saw only 56 mm and 115 mm of rain, respectively, while March and April recorded about 50 mm per month. Temperatures returned to normal in May and June.
July and August saw some hailstorms with no significant impact, unlike the heatwaves that caused sunburn on the grapes. The harvest began in the last week of August with perfect sanitary conditions observed across the Chablisien vineyard.
Despite the excellent quality of the harvest, yields were historically low. The 2020 Chablis white wines are distinguished by their pure aromatic expression and vivacity, with citrus notes and beautiful minerality.
